וַתְּהִי־שָׁ֧ם הַמִּלְחָמָ֛ה נפצית [נָפֹ֖צֶת] עַל־פְּנֵ֣י כָל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיֶּ֤רֶב הַיַּ֙עַר֙ לֶאֱכֹ֣ל בָּעָ֔ם מֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר אָכְלָ֛ה הַחֶ֖רֶב בַּיּ֥וֹם הַהֽוּא׃
For the battle was there spread over the face of all the country; and the forest devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.
